Our Team
Dale Bohannon
attorney
With an undergrad degree in accounting, finances and bankruptcy law just come naturally to Dale. In fact, he has over four decades of experience with bankruptcy, estate planning, tax deferred exchanges and litigation under his belt. He’s also the only board certified bankruptcy attorney in our area’s 13-county district.
But aside from his expertise, Dale is passionate about solving problems, putting minds at ease and providing hope for his neighbors. He aims to provide professional service and easy-to-understand explanations of even the most complex legal situations. And his friendly disposition and down-to-earth demeanor have earned him repeat and generational business in Cookeville, a place he’s proud to call home.
When Dale’s not solving legal problems, he enjoys sipping tea, visiting family and friends at a local coffee shop, playing piano for his church and going for long runs.
Noel Bohannon
Technology and Marketing Manager
Working behind the scenes, Noel manages our information technology and marketing needs where he’s proud to play an active role growing the family business. Noel also serves as the lead in electronic document filing with the US Bankruptcy Court. While he’s worked at the office for 20 years, some say as Dale’s son, he’s been here his entire life.
When Noel isn’t in front of a computer, he enjoys tapping into his creative side as a musician, songwriter and chef. He usually has his nose in a book—ones with ingredients, not characters.
Monica Sawyer
Bilingual Bankruptcy Coordinator
Monica helps guide clients through the steps of bankruptcy with respect and dignity. Fluent in Spanish and English, she’s especially equipped at bridging the language barrier with our Spanish-speaking clients so they can better understand the legal process. To her, getting to know clients on a first-name basis and helping them overcome their challenges is most rewarding.
Monica also enjoys volunteering at The River Community Church in Cookeville. She loves spending time with family, dancing to salsa music and photography.
Tyler Langford
Accountant and Assistant
After getting his start as a soldier in the US Marine Corps, Ty developed a drive for discipline and hard work. Now he assists Dale with complicated number crunching and document preparation, walking alongside clients from start to finish. Accuracy and thoroughness are important to him, and he appreciates the challenge of pivoting to meet clients’ ever-changing needs.
On the weekends, Ty proudly trains and leads soldiers with the Tennessee National Guard. In his free time, he enjoys playing and singing music with his wife and three kids, being outdoors and attending church.
Alina Deason
Administrative Assistant
Outgoing and social, Alina is the first friendly face clients see coming into the office. She juggles our day-to-day operations like scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, firing off emails and keeping our office running like a well-oiled machine. Connecting with others is important to her, and she delights in making the office feel like a warm, inviting space for clients.
Originally from Romania, Alina is married with two children. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, music, movies and exercising (when she can find the time!).
